چکیده
Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) is believed to reduce uncertainties in the operation of mechanical structures, and thus, increase safety. Strain measurements are often used conclude on health state a structure interest. In combination with elastoresistive materials, Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) can be monitor larger areas safety relevant structural components for strain changes that might indicate damage. The present research investigates evaluation spatial distributions by thin-film sensors using 2D Tomography. Therefore, spatially-limited strains subsequent conductivity surface sensor numerically modelled experimentally realized. Subsequently, inverse reconstruction both, simulated experimental compared analyzed respect imaging location, shape, extent value.

This paper describes the application of electrical impedance tomography (EIT) to demonstrate the multifunctionality of carbon nanocomposite thin films under various types of environmental stimuli. Carbon nanotube (CNT) thin films are fabricated by a layer-by-layer (LbL) technique and mounted with electrodes along their boundaries. The response of the thin films to various stimuli is investigate...
متن کاملTopology Optimization Applied to 2d and 3d Electrical Impedance Tomography
Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) is an imaging technique which tries to find conductivity distribution inside a section of body. The EIT deals with an inverse problem in which given the measured voltages on electrodes it estimates the conductivity distribution by using an image reconstruction algorithm. EIT can be used in several applications and, recently, it has been applied for obtainin...
